Thanksgiving dinner, Cafeteria, Thursday early evening

Anyone who arrived in the cafeteria for Thanksgiving dinner would find the tables arranged in the best way possible to allow as many people to speak to each other as possible, and also covered in rust-colored tablecloths. And turkey confetti. In fact, the whole place was decked out in autumny orange and gold and reddish brown hues, including the centerpieces. Very warm and inviting and pretty, and thanks to the kitchen, it smelled great. All in all, the place looked very nice, and the food would actually be edible when it was time to eat.

And the Fandom High cheerleaders wanted everyone to have a wonderful Thanksgiving. *mods, mwahaha*

Hannibal sure as hell didn't cook but he brought some cookies. Chocolate chip, even! The expensive kind.

He set the tray down and left them for dessert.

There was no such thing as too much pie, so Angela brought some along with her.

She didn't try to cook it. This is almost definitely a good thing.

Toby was not a cheerleader, but he'd totally gotten into the whole holiday thing after radio and made a slew of rum balls for the occasion. "So I know Christmas is usually the cookie holiday, but like, I felt the need to bake." Not that rum balls required baking. Just alcohol.

Yes, rum balls totally counted as food.

People were supposed to bring offerings to this sort of event, weren't they? So G'Kar (after spending copious amounts of handwavy time to locate the best subsitute he could find) had showed up with a large batch of fresh Spoo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoo).

The same girl who did stuff like going cheer nazi was now kind of obsessively making sure everything was going well, which was why she was supervising the kitchen. And that she didn't have to replace anything she'd made with something safer and storebought. (Which she did. Shhh.)

Kaylee had brought a pie! And she'd -- gasp -- made it all by herself.

It was apple, not pumpkin, but that was mostly because pumpkin pie still freaked her out.

Adam had made some crescent rolls and set the basket down on the counter. That was one thing he could make and not have it turn out horrible.

Sam was still stuffed from his first Thanksgiving meal, but he figured that just meant he wouldn't be tempted by anything that was still being cooked here. He looked around to see if anyone needed help.

Which would be the cue for Brooke to head over with a pot full of peeled potatoes and a masher thing. "How'd you like to be my potato masher? Good. Here you go," she said, trying to hand it over.

Sam got the feeling that saying no wasn't an option, so he took the pot and set it down so he could get to mashing. "Everything looks great so far," he said. "In case you haven't heard that enough."
