Hands-On Art, Class #10, Period 1

"Morning, class," Lily greeted everyone when the last person had arrived. "So it's two days before Thanksgiving and who actually wants to be here today yeah I thought so. I'll tell you what. I'm going to go easy on you, and today you get a movie, and I've got sugar cookies. Ignore that they are holiday-themed, blame consumerism. The movie's about an artist, so we're on topic. And if you're really ambitious, you can take notes and look like you're working. Enjoy the movie, have a great holiday, and don't kill anyone at the stores on Friday."

"What have you heard?" Angela checked. There had been a few tidbits that could be in response to.

"Oh, I don't know, making out with Chuck Bass, going out with Hurley, some sort of morning goings on with Hannibal... Boring girls like me want to know," Peyton said with a grin.

Yeah, she really couldn't deny any of those. "Busy week," she said after a moment "And you are not boring."

Peyton raised an eyebrow. "Compared to that? Oh, yes I am!"

"I just, apparently squash all my excitement into a short space of time," Angela claimed with a smile at Peyton.

"Whereas I... don't have any at all?" Peyton raised an eyebrow. "Come on now, kissing Chuck Bass? The guy you rescued me from? What's going on? And how does Hannibal feel about all this?"

"That, was just a bit of fun," Angela said. "When I rescued you, you were drunk and possibly about to do something stupid." Because kissing Chuck wasn't a little bit of that in itself.

"And I have no idea. He's been moody, and I didn't ask."

"Moody, huh?" Peyton said drily. "He know anything about the kissing Chuck thing?"

"He knows," she confirmed with a little nod. "Listens to radio just like everyone else. That was an awkward conversation."

"I bet..." Peyton tipped her head thoughtfully. "Think that might have anything to do with the moody thing?"

"If it is, he's not telling," Angela replied. "And it really shouldn't be."

"You might be surprised," Peyton said softly.

"Or, it could be just that he had a bad night's sleep." It was his claim, after all. Angela shrugged, "Either way, I'm hoping it passes."

"I'd kinda like for someone to get a little moody if he heard I was kissing someone else," Peyton admitted.

"While it would be very flattering, he says lack of sleep," Angela told her simply.

"Yeah, well, still," Peyton said with a grin. "Girl can dream, right?"

"Yes, she can," Angela confirmed with a matching smile. "And very nice dreams they are."

"Mmm... 'specially since the only guy I've actually really kissed since I've been here was talking about the girl he slept with on the news last night."

Angela shot her a sympathetic look.

"Dean?" she assumed.

"Yeah. Hey, no, no," she said quickly. "It's not like I thought the guy was gonna be my one true love or anything. He was very clear upfront that if we went any further it was totally non-exclusive. Just... it's a bit of a jump from thinking about that to hearing him talk about it on the radio. It's totally fine, though."

"Still, not something you really want to know about," Angela said.

"If it helps, my list extends to my roommate and Chuck, so--" She shrugged.

"Oooh... kind of forgot about Chuck," Peyton said. "Still, I didn't kiss him, did I? No, I'm sure I didn't."

"You'd probably remember if you did," Angela said. For all his faults, Chuck was pretty good at that.

"Oh really?" Peyton said with a smirk.

"Just saying," she returned with a laugh.
