Hands-On Art, Class #10, Period 1

"Morning, class," Lily greeted everyone when the last person had arrived. "So it's two days before Thanksgiving and who actually wants to be here today yeah I thought so. I'll tell you what. I'm going to go easy on you, and today you get a movie, and I've got sugar cookies. Ignore that they are holiday-themed, blame consumerism. The movie's about an artist, so we're on topic. And if you're really ambitious, you can take notes and look like you're working. Enjoy the movie, have a great holiday, and don't kill anyone at the stores on Friday."

Food and a arty movie? Angela definitely liked this sort of class.

She settled back to nibble on a cookie and watch.

Bender wasn't paying a lot of attention but he was taking notes - an abbreviated 'Kill - Thursday?'.

Ned grabbed a cookie and half watched the movie, half thought about what he was going to do for the holiday.

Claire listened happily. She could deal with the cookies-and-a-movie thing.

Claire settled in with a cookie and watched the film. This was a good day so far.

Sitting and watching was not enough to keep Cal distracted, especially since what he needed to be distracted from was sitting right there in the classroom with him.

He tried, though, and actually did manage to just space out for a bit, which was kind of nice.

Katchoo got kind of grumbly and eyerolly over the thought of the mass consumer rush, but she was eating a cookie anyway. Upside down, so she didn't have to look at the holiday theme.

Well, now would be a good time to put together a few more pieces for that lady from the comic shop, so once the cookie was polished off she got out her sketchbooks.

Peter was thrilled. He loved the classes where they just sat and watched movies.
