"Now is the time to return the Woklings to me," Anakin said, gesturing to the tables that were at the front of the classroom. "I'll be returning them to their homeworld tonight."

Mostly because if he brought them back to the apartment, he'd probably end up adopting a few to stop Rory from giving him pleading eyes.

"Jess, this doesn't apply to you. Jar Jar can stay with you as long as he'd like."

Jar Jar raised a hand. "Meesa having a bombad time, Ani, but meesa wanna go home."

Anakin rolled his eyes. "I'll take you as far as Endor," he promised. That would buy Luke and Leia a few weeks of Gungan-free time. Not that Luke deserved it.

He clapped his hands together. "Very well. Tell me what you learned this week while caring for intelligent, sentient creatures who couldn't be stuck in a fridge or a closet, and if it served as an effective check on raging hormones. Actions always have consequences, be they as major as a baby or as minor as rolling over in the morning and wondering what on Earth you were thinking the night before."

"I'm not in another culture, I'm in mine. And where I'm from, it's almost improper for a parent to keep a child," Dōjima answered. "That's what nannies and tutors are for."

"I'm not teaching just your culture," Anakin said a little snippily. "I'm teaching to everyone. And in this exercise, you take care of the younglings."

"No, you're belittling everyone by trying to use scare tactics to repress our sexuality completely," she replied in the same tone, "instead of teaching us something useful, like how to control it or be responsible."

"Besides, I cared for your Ewok, despite the fact you neglected to tell us their names, or even their genders," Dōjima said. "I even did it pretty well. Fuzzy enjoyed itself when I had it, and it wasn't any more trouble than any of my maybe-kids from Prom weekend."

Anakin visibly bristled. "Watch your tone," he demanded. "And you certainly could have asked me--or, for that matter, the Ewok--for her name if you'd been so interested. And I don't care if you're sleeping with four different people a night. This was to give you responsibility for another living being."

Someone was touchy. Dōjima moderated her tone, barely, but she was not going to back down.

"Is the lesson responsibility or lust? Who would have been responsible if one of them had gotten hurt?" she asked. "Us, for being completely unprepared, or you, for giving us the assignment without giving us the tools to be responsible caretakers?"

"And who says I didn't? I asked Fuzzy in as many languages as I could mangle," Dōjima replied. "I didn't think 'yub' was the answer I was looking for." She glanced over at the Wokling apologetically. "And Momo and I got your gender wrong, Fuzz. Sorry."

"I don't explain myself to children," Anakin retorted, stalking away.

Very mature. Really.

Dōjima rolled her eyes. "Right," she snipped, "because teachers aren't supposed to explain things to students."

Whatever. She'd just go find Reno sometime this week, and see if he wanted to help her give another public class on sex. Someone had to provide the student population with facts and not fear.
