Ethics [Tuesday, November 18, 2nd period]

"Now is the time to return the Woklings to me," Anakin said, gesturing to the tables that were at the front of the classroom. "I'll be returning them to their homeworld tonight."

Mostly because if he brought them back to the apartment, he'd probably end up adopting a few to stop Rory from giving him pleading eyes.

"Jess, this doesn't apply to you. Jar Jar can stay with you as long as he'd like."

Jar Jar raised a hand. "Meesa having a bombad time, Ani, but meesa wanna go home."

Anakin rolled his eyes. "I'll take you as far as Endor," he promised. That would buy Luke and Leia a few weeks of Gungan-free time. Not that Luke deserved it.

He clapped his hands together. "Very well. Tell me what you learned this week while caring for intelligent, sentient creatures who couldn't be stuck in a fridge or a closet, and if it served as an effective check on raging hormones. Actions always have consequences, be they as major as a baby or as minor as rolling over in the morning and wondering what on Earth you were thinking the night before."

For a small moment, right around the time Jar Jar said he wanted to go home, Jess actually almost looked happy. The rest of the time? The death glare was turned up to eleven.

Lee did indeed give Sam a cuddle and some parting words of wisdom.

And he stuffed some candy into his furry hand.

Penelope really could do nothing here but listen. She had been a piglet last week.

Ella bounced Furball on her knee as she listened. She'd gotten used to the little guy, but she wasn't exactly sad to see him go.

Between the few days she'd had the bear and her vacation, Dōjima was indeed half-asleep on her desk. She so owed Worf for taking the thing most of the time.

"The wokling was unruly and did not pay attention," Worf grumped. "And I assure you my hormone levels were always in check."

"I learned that I hate you," Jess said. "Very, very much."

"Am not knowing what is this 'hormones'," Firekeeper shrugged. "Am also not knowing what to think of having this puppy- wokling- to watch over, when it is not of my pack," she admitted.

"Sam chewed holes through my shirts," Lee said. "But Warren, my roommate, helped me a lot with the feeding since he had access to better food than I did. Which means he had access to other things rather than candy. He was warm though. And I got my exercise. As for my hormones, they were the same as always but I've learned to mostly ignore them or find other outlets."

"I'm sorry, Master Skywalker, for missing this assignment. I was changed into an animal for all of last week."

"I already miss little Sky," Toby said, sighing a bit. "But he probably misses his real mom, too." Were those tears on Toby's face? Why yes they were.

"Furball needed to be entertained pretty much constantly, at least when he was with me," Ella reported. "I had thought a baby would sleep more. I was in no particular rush to have children of my own, and this didn't change that."

"Sam was cute and fun. But he did serve to remind me once again why parenthood is only for those who are ready for it," Meg said. "At this point in time. I'm not."

"I suppose," Peyton said. "But in a way it was a lot more like a pet than a baby."

"I like kids," Dōjima answered, shrugging. "That doesn't mean I should have them. Don't get me wrong, Fuzzy learned proper gun safety and managed not to die during my cooking class, but I'm not a parent, and I knew that before this."

"I didn't name Sky," was the first thing out of Tahiri's mouth, and very quickly at that.

"She's still alive," Ender commented, "It wasn't that much of a chore." After Ben explained a few more things to him, especially.
