Library [11/13]

The library was silent Thursday morning before Sam got there, and even after he arrived, unlocking the doors and getting all the lights on, it was still fairly quiet. The only real noise came after Sam got settled when, every once in a while, he coughed, and then grumbled to himself.

Sam did his usual early duty of checking in books that had been returned, and putting them back in their proper spots.

Second Period [11/13]

Sam didn't feel like reading at the moment - no, really - so he went ahead and fired up The Sims to see how his families were doing. He didn't start laughing when Dean and Alec got a visit from the baby delivery, if only because that would set him off on a new round of coughing.

Third Period [11/13]

Sam spent most of the period using cheat codes to get extra money so he could redecorate all the houses with better items. He wasn't going to admit to anyone how much he was enjoying that.

Lunch [11/13]

Sam had some leftover pasta and spaghetti sauce to share with Dean for lunch if/when he came by.

Dean came in with a bag of food and took his usual chair. "So what do you have today?"

"Pasta," Sam said with a small hint of pride. "I made it myself and it's actually pretty good."

Dean grinned. "You'll make someone a good wife someday."

Sam rolled his eyes. "I'm going to take that as a compliment."

Dean pushed the bag across the desk. "I brought pie."

"I'm shocked," Sam said sarcastically, laughing. "It'll go well with the real food, I'm sure. What kind?"

"Chocolate creme," Dean said, digging into the offered pasta.

"Okay, you chose wisely. Nicely done," Sam said.

Fourth Period [11/13]

Sam was back to playing his game, and was busy trying to make sure everyone went to work when they were supposed to. He had more time to redecorate while they were gone, of course.

Peter came by and looked for Sam.

Sam heard the door open and saved his game before minimizing the window. "Hey," he said, smiling.

"Hey." Peter came over with coffee and donuts. "How's it going?"

"It's okay," Sam said, quickly taking the coffee. "How are you?"

"I'm good," Peter said. He looked Sam over. "Just okay? Is there anything I can help with?"

"I don't know. I think I caught the cheerleading plague," Sam said.

Sam laughed softly. "Not quite. Lots of people were sick yesterday at practice though, and I think I caught the same cold."

Sam saved his game and turned everything off, making sure the library was cleaned up before he had to leave.

The package I'm expecting has been less than 10 miles away for over seven hours. Why is it not here yet?
