Remembrance Day, Armistice Day, Veterans Day... whatever you wanted to call it, it amused Anemone. 'Remembering' veterans certainly wasn't keeping the humans from making more of them. Like her.

Still, she couldn't help but appreciate the private irony in their choice of flower to commemorate the occasion.

She carefully twisted silk blooms of anemone coronaria into her hair as she reshelved, humming happily. She didn't have any papaver rhoeas, but these were close enough, and more appropriate, anyway. Windflowers for a living dead girl.

Alice followed the sound of the singing, and soon found her friend (and onetime twin) the pink-haired girl.

"You should take me to dinner," she announced, without much preamble.

"We haven't spoken in far too long," she answered, rocking back onto her heels. "Also I was told that I should make someone take me for dinner, as a class assignment. But then, it was part of the assignment not to tell anyone, so I've already failed horribly."
