Sam was in the library a little earlier than usual, taking the time to actually enjoy his coffee, instead of trying to inhale it. Today's project, he decided, was going to be checking the library shelves for "missing" books.

Well, all the shelves outside of Special Collections, of course. He didn't want to go missing as well.

"I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who's responsible," Peter said.

"What makes you say that?" Sam asked. "We told her together, didn't we? I'm pretty sure I was there getting just as much of the glare as you did."

"You don't know her, I do," Peter said. "I should've figured a better way to handle it."

"You can figure out a way to handle it now then," Sam said. "And if you need my help, you have it."

"You're a pretty awesome boyfriend," Peter said. "Just in case you were wondering."

"I'm just trying to stay at your level," Sam replied.

Really the only way for Peter to respond to that was with a kiss.

Sam made a soft, happy noise, and kissed Peter back. "Hey, Dean wanted to know if you want to go trick or treating with him and me and Grace. You don't have to, but we wanted to offer."

"I hadn't thought about a costume," Peter admitted. "But if that's not a problem then sure, I'd be honored."

"Awesome," Sam said, beaming. "You can help us keep Grace wrangled, and keep Dean from stealing all the candy."

"You wearing a costume?" Peter asked. He wasn't able to hide his dorky smile at being asked to be included in Sam's family thing.

"I was planning on it. I kind of have this priest outfit," Sam said. "I figured that might be good to wear."

"I suppose I could always go as the Invisible Man," Peter joked.

"You could, as long as you reappear before the night's over," Sam replied.

"Or make you invisible with me," Peter said.

Sam grinned. "I liked when you did that. It didn't feel weird like I thought it might."

"It's like a guaranteed way to have you all to myself," Peter said.

"You can have me all to yourself whenever you want, I promise," Sam said, grinning.

"Like now?" Peter asked.

"Sure," Sam said. "If you want to."
