Sam was in the library a little early today, making a list of all the things he wanted to talk about with Missouri when she visited for the weekend. Whether or not she thought he'd be dying at the hands of Angela Petrelli in the future was not on the list, but the closer the weekend got, the more he wondered if it should be.

"You always bring food," Sam said matter-of-factly.

"Taking me for granted now, little brother?" Dean teased, but passed over the sandwich.

"No, I just know you," Sam said. "Certain things in this world are constant, and one of them is you bringing food for lunch."

"You're lucky I really learned the 'share with your brother' lesson," Dean told him, as he unwrapped his own sandwich. "Otherwise you'd be stuck sitting there watching me eat real food while you had... fruit."

"It's good fruit," Sam said, taking a Dean-sized bite of the salad.

"So you don't need the sandwich...?" Dean asked making to reach and take it back.

Sam smacked at Dean's hand. "I didn't say that," he said. "But since I'm in a nice mood, I won't make you share your pie."

"Good, because I wasn't going to anyway."

Sam rolled his eyes. "I have never seen anyone go after food the way you go after pie," he said.

Dean shrugged. "It's pie," he said as if that explained it all.

"I know, magical, wonderful pie," Sam teased.

"Don't mock the pie," Dean told him.

"Can I mock you when you turn into a pie?" Sam asked.

"Only if I can eat you if you turn into one," Dean said, then added after a pause, "Not dirty."

Sam felt that the only appropriate response to that was to fling a piece of strawberry at Dean. "I am not for eating, even if I turn into a food product."

"See?" Dean said, ducking the strawberry. "You're not eating the fruit, you're using it as ammunition. I rest my case."

"That fruit sacrificed itself for the greater good," Sam said, eating a big piece to appease Dean.

"Yeah, yeah. So speaking of greater good, things still going okay with you and Peter?"

Sam's grin spoke volumes as he nodded. "Yeah. Definitely okay."

"Like his gifts from Baltimore?"

"We haven't used them yet. I'm still working up to that," Sam said.

"Did you at least give them to him?"

"Um. Not yet?" Sam said. "But we're in my room most of the time, since I'm by myself, so it makes sense to have them there."

"Alec and I keep most of our stuff in my room too," Dean said. "Doesn't mean I don't actually give him what I buy for him though." He grinned in fond memory. "He really liked those body crayons."

"I don't need to know that," Sam said. "I don't need to know how Alec feels about any of the things you buy, really."
