Knowing that this coming weekend was the 'Parent Weekend' nonsense had put Anemone in a strange mood, alternating between melencholy and spiteful. She had grabbed a poetry book from the shelves as a distraction, in a legitimate attempt to broaden her literary horizons. They were probably going to study it sometime in class, and she didn't want to feel like an idiot for not knowing any poems.

And voices are / In the wind’s singing / More distant and more solemn / Than a fading star.

Anemone tossed the book across the room with a snarl and stomped off in search of a decent comic book. Poetry was stupid.

The Fandom High Library was open, but beware of flung books.

"Fine, no throwing books unless they actually bite," she sighed, flopping on to her seat. "It was still being mean, I think it knows about next weekend."

Yeah. He could understand that.

"The last time my guardians showed up, my boyfriend came too. He then proceeded to pick fights with a few of my male friends," she said dryly. "If Dominic can't play nice, he has to stay home."
