Library [Saturday]

Mac had avoided all homecoming related activities so far, which was quite a feat considering the sheer amount of them going on.

She'd also not noticed anything even slightly strange about today, so she was down in the library, seeming relatively cheerful as she catalogued books behind the front desk.

"Destined?" Mac asked skeptically. She was more scientifically minded than anything else, and tended to lead on logic in these situations. "What makes you think that?"

"Because it was meant to be," said Hoshi. She sighed dramatically. "You know, I've been saving myself for him."

"That's... sweet," Mac said, figuring that was probably the right response, even if it sounded, well, a little crazy.

"Uh, so you've met him?" she said, really hoping the answer to that was a 'yes'. Somehow that made this mildly less weird.

"Yes," said Hoshi breathlessly. "He gave me a puppy. I think it means he loves me too."

Actually, it was only because his girlfriend was allergic to dogs.

"Oh." Well it was a little comforting. Sort of. "I... hope so," she offered.

While her inner Fandom Weird radar was niggling just a little, Mac didn't really know Hoshi that well. For all she knew maybe the girl was a bit odd normally.

Mac peered at the photographs a little closer. "He looks nice."

"Isn't he dreamy?" asked Hoshi.

Normally she had a larger vocabulary, but at the moment she was too air-headed to come up with any other words.

"I guess... I'll take your word for it." Mac really wasn't sure what qualified someone as 'dreamy'. "Uh, so where is he now?"
