Sam had more coffee with him than was possibly necessary as he went to open the library. He was thinking about Homecoming, and how his excitement about possibly getting to go with Peter was balanced out by worrying about who might come back to visit. It was definitely going to be a day of reading to distract himself from thinking about that more.

"Well, I'll just have to have fun and show you up then," Sam replied.

"And that would be your job," Dean said smoothly, eating more soup.

"To prove you wrong?" Sam asked.

"To forget you're embarrassed and have fun," Dean clarified.

"I'm not going to forget that I'm embarrassed," Sam said. "But it could be fun."

"There you see?" Dean said, pointing at Sammy with his spoon. "You have fun cheerleading and I have fun mocking you. It's a win-win."

"Or you could mock someone else. We could mock them together, wouldn't that be more fun?"

"I can multitask," Dean assured him.

"I'm not going to make you soup next week," Sam threatened. Probably.

"Is that because you've moved on to cooking other things, right?" Dean said, completely confident.

"It's because you're a very mean brother," Sam replied. "I'm going to mock you extra hard the next time you get embarrassed."

Dean shrugged. "You would've anyway."

"Extra extra hard," Sam replied.

"Kinky," Dean teased.

Sam reached over and went to smack Dean on the arm.

"Dude, you don't want to start something you can't finish in the library," Dean warned. Paused. "I bet you say that to Peter all the time."

"I do not!" Sam said, going to hit him harder.

"You're going to make me spill my soup!" Dean protested, trying to block Sammy and move his bowl all at the same time.

"Stop saying stuff like that. All Peter and I do here is kiss, and that's all we're going to do," Sam said.

"Isn't that what I just said? That you tell him not to start something he can't finish here?"

Sam shook his head. "I don't have to tell him, because he already knows."

"Maybe you should tell him to finish it here then."
