Library [10/09]

Sam had more coffee with him than was possibly necessary as he went to open the library. He was thinking about Homecoming, and how his excitement about possibly getting to go with Peter was balanced out by worrying about who might come back to visit. It was definitely going to be a day of reading to distract himself from thinking about that more.

Sam went through the returned books and checked them all in, putting them in order before he went to put them back, like a proper geek.

Sam got on the computer and checked his e-mail, and was amazed to discover that the holiday spam had already started.

With his e-mail safely organized, Sam went into the stacks and came out with a mystery novel to read.

The library was open for lunch, and Sam had soup again if Dean showed up.

Sam went back to reading his book and letting himself be distracted for the time being.

Sam took a quick sweep through the library to make sure everything was cleaned up before he closed up.

Sam had to admit that he liked Peter's visits a lot more now that they involved kissing, and he leaned over to kiss Peter back.

"There's bribe one," Peter said as he pulled back. He handed over coffee and donuts. "That's two and three."

Sam grinned and happily took the coffee, letting Peter have his pick of the donuts. "You're good at bribing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise," he said.

"Trying not to drown at the carnival," Sam teased. "I'm going to be in the dunk tank again. I'm hoping for people with bad aim."

Sam's cheeks got a little flushed as he thought about that. "I might need your help, yeah," he said.
