The Library; Monday [ 09/29. ]

Cal limped (yes, limped, and pretty badly, too) into the library that morning to open it, grumbling into his coffee about a hatred for radio that had very firmly exceeded his previous apathy about it. Not only for radio, but also for all things small, amphibious, and shelled. He'd always been more of a frog person himself.

The pile of books waiting to be shelved got quite the glare, as well. Once he sat down, he wasn't moving. Not with those bruises on his shins.

"I've said my piece and have reason to even notice her again."

"Which is why I said it didn't matter and to never mind, but.."

"I forced you to say something," Temari said dryly.

"Exactly," Cal nodded, and lifted his chin importantly, knowing full well that she didn't force anything out of him, but sticking to his story all the same.

Nodding, she slipped off the desk and reached for the new atlas. "Good. I'll study this this week."

Cal nodded. "Should we do countries and capitals again?" he asked. "Or should I quiz, like, important rivers this time?"

"Let's stick with countries and capitals. There will be time for more later."

Flipping through the book, Temari turned to exit the library.

"And stop worrying so much about how I act, Sparkles. It makes you seem like a woman."

"Don't flatter yourself, Fanbutt," Cal called out casually after her, leaning back in his chair and pointedly looking elsewhere. "I do this to everyone. Besides, like I said, you've got enough testosterone for the both of us."

Temari just hummed thoughtfully, still looking at the book as she left the library.
