The Library; Monday [ 09/29. ]

Cal limped (yes, limped, and pretty badly, too) into the library that morning to open it, grumbling into his coffee about a hatred for radio that had very firmly exceeded his previous apathy about it. Not only for radio, but also for all things small, amphibious, and shelled. He'd always been more of a frog person himself.

The pile of books waiting to be shelved got quite the glare, as well. Once he sat down, he wasn't moving. Not with those bruises on his shins.

"Well, I don't know if I'd say old hat," Cal shrugged, although, if you got into specifics and considered the gender change thing, it was fitting, "more like I just..am not going to let it shake me, you know? Just as crazy things happen in real life; Fandom's just lacking subtlety."

Indy chuckled at that. "So the big things are no big deal, it's the small stuff that gets to you?"

Cal's head tilted as he ruminated over that. "You know," he said, "I think that might actually be pretty accurate. Turn me into as many weird ass animals as you can, it's when my socks go missing that I'm all irritated."

There was a thoughtful, frowning pause. "Is that weird?"

Cal couldn't help a small laugh. "Oh, phew," he said. "Almost had me worried for a moment there."

Indy grinned and shook his head. "Well it helps to know that my staff can be counted on to do their duties despite island shifting and gender being swapped. It just means I have to get worried if a laundry machine breaks down."

Cal's hands went to his head in mock distress. "Broken laundry? Don't even say such things! I'll have nightmares for weeks now."

"Don't worry," Indy said sympathetically. "We're going to be invaded by cannibals tomorrow."

"Considering that I'm too skinny to have any quality meat on me," Cal said, "I think I'm okay with that."

"Sounds like you got it all covered then. I'll just make sure that you have plenty of laundry detergent every week.," Indy joked and then gestured to his office. "I've got some reading to catch up on but if you need me let me know.

Cal nodded, carefully shifting his legs to get comfortable again. "Can do, Dr. Jones."
