Library [09/25]

It was a very annoyed Sam Winchester who opened the library in the morning. His date with Peter had been foiled and he'd gone back to his room feeling like a complete idiot.

And then he'd woken up with breasts. Again.

As much as he wanted to do nothing more than hide in his room, Sam took his job seriously enough to show up and get settled behind the desk. Without Dawn this time around, he had no access to girl clothes, so he'd had to do his best with the smallest clothes he owned. He hoped that if he stayed behind the desk, no one would notice he wasn't wearing shoes. Or a bra.

He could already tell it was going to be an unbearable day.

"No!" Sam said quickly. "We were just making out."

"So?" Dean looked puzzled.

"So?! First of all, Dad doesn't need to see that, ever. And secondly, he doesn't even know Peter and I are together!"

"Are you embarrassed of Peter?" Dean asked.

"What? No," Sam said. "Not at all."

"Then why are you worried about Dad finding out? I mean he knows about me and Alec and he's fine with that..."

"I don't know. It's just...it's different," Sam said, squirming a little. "He's used to you being a little strange when it comes to sex, but not me. I don't know how to tell him."

"Gee, thanks," Dean said with a raised eyebrow.

"I mean...you've just always been interested in people, you know? You've never made it a secret that you think about sex, so going outside the norms isn't that much of a stretch for you. It's different with me."

"So what you're saying is you're normal and I'm a freak," Dean said with a straight face.

"I'm saying we're both freaks now. But you've always been freakier so it's not a big deal when it's you."

Dean shook his head sadly. "Dude, I never thought you were so narrow minded as to think being bisexual meant you were a freak."

"It's not normal," Sam insisted. "And it's definitely not soldier-like."

"Says who? Some redneck religious bigot who thinks everyone should think and live like them?"

"What? No," Sam said, sighing. "I don't care what other people think. I'm just worried about what Dad's going to think."

"Dad's not a bigot, Sammy," Dean said.

"I'm just worried he's going to be pissed," Sam said. "I always worry when I have to tell him anything."

"Okay, now you're being unreasonable and borrowing trouble," Dean observed.

"You don't think he's going to be mad? Not at all?" Sam asked.

"Can you give me one serious reason that's not just you being neurotic and unfair why he would be?"

"Because it's something he's never had to deal with with me before," Sam replied.

"You're worrying about nothing," Dean told him. "You know that right?"

"We'll find out," Sam said, not willing to admit that Dean might be right.

Dean poked him. "I'm starting to think you're not happy if you don't have something to worry about."

"We have a lot to worry about," Sam pointed out. "I can't help it if I choose to worry about things and you don't."
