"Welcome back," Edward said when the students were seated. "Today we will be discussing the anatomy of the reproductive system. A few things first, though."

"We're dealing with some very personal subjects in this class. If you need to discuss something that you aren't comfortable bringing up in front of the other students, you can always talk to one of the teaching assistants." He turned his golden eyes to Marco and Joan. "Will you please stand up?" He turned back to the rest of the class. "Marco and Joan have volunteered to help us out. Please let them know if there's anything you need."

"In addition, Jennifer Sparks has informed me that she knows nearly everything there is to know about sex, so if you have any factual questions and I'm not available, I'm sure she'd be happy to help you out."

"And now, onto anatomy," Edward said. He nodded at the student nearest the door. "Will you please dim the lights?" The lights dim, he launched into a lecture on the reproductive system, using a number of slides to illustrate.

When he finished and the lights turned back on, he brought out five different plastic models of human reproductive systems.

"Now, let's see what you've learned. All the parts on these are numbered. On a sheet of paper, write down the numbers and the correct name of the part. I've only got five of these, so you'll have to work in groups. You are welcome to work together, but I want you each to turn in your own answers."

He then read off the group assignments and handed a plastic model to each group.

"Really?" Kaylee pondered that, slowly starting on the assignment. "That ain't too complimentary. I feel bad for your unthoughtful friends."

"Some are exemplary," Blair said. "My boyfriend? Nate Archibald? Is amazing. You couldn't ask for someone more caring and thoughtful, especially when it comes to the topic of romance. Others wouldn't know romance if it appeared in a form seen outside of a barnyard."

The really sad part? Marco was too sleepy to realize that he was in a group with three girls in a class where he was TA. Hence the drool and snorting.

Meg rolled her eyes at the TA, before turning to the other girls. "Now that would be a good class for the guys. Romance 101. Flowers are for more then making you sneeze."

"I think some are beyond help," Blair said.

Marco snorted a little in his sleep and rolled on to a more comfortable part of his arm.

Kaylee curiously prodded him with the tip of her pencil. "Mornin', sunshine."

Meg had younger brothers. She had practice at tormenting. "Wakey! Wakey!" she said, shaking his shoulder.

Marco jerked away. "You're pretty." He informed her sleepily.

"You're dreaming," Meg told him.

"Oh." Marco said, a tad disappointed, and went back to sleeping.

"Awww, I didn't know you had a fella! Does he go here?" Kaylee asked, now thoroughly distracted.

"He's back in New York," Blair said. "But we keep in touch. He phones and texts almost all the time."

Nate? So did not.

"Awwwww. That's so romantic," Kaylee decided, grinning. "Does he send you love letters?"

"All the time." Blair laughed as though to indicate how silly and over the top Nate was. "With gifts. I keep telling him I hardly know what to do with all that jewelry but he insists on sending it. Says it reminds him of me."

Blair had a rich internal fantasy life.

"That's so sweet!" Kaylee declared, in awe of the cuteness. "Do you miss him somethin' terrible? I would, if my boyfriend was so far away." Kaylee had no idea where New York was. "But I think Ned'd make me pies more'n send jewelry. An' he's awful shy for love letters. Maybe love notes. In the pie."

"Ned's your boyfriend?" Blair asked. She hadn't been aware of that and was adjusting her mental database accordingly.

She nodded contentedly. "He made the pies for your party," she supplied, just in case Blair had forgotten in the last week or so. "I helped but he did all the hard stuff. An' he's the reason they was good, and not messy piles of strawberries in crusts."

"He'll have to make pies for me again," Blair said. "Perhaps for an October party."

"You have parties just 'cause it's October?" she asked in wonder.

"Back home there's an event every week," Blair said. "One event a month is somewhat slacking."

Kaylee's eyes were wide. "Are they all so fancy?"

This appeared like worship of everything Blair stood for. Blair liked that.

"Oh yes," Blair said. "Especially the ones that I throw. It's my duty to uphold the Waldorf name."

"So you're famous at home?" Kaylee was sort of imagining the girls of the core to be like Blair, all fancy and put-together and knowing things.

"Oh yes," Blair said. And this time she didn't have to fib. "I get reported on all the time. There's even a website devoted to talking about what I and everyone in my social circles do."
