Phys Ed: Week 1, Period 2 (Fri. 9/5)

When students arrived, they would find the Danger Shop was set up like a traditional gymnasium, complete with a changing rooms and really high ceilings.

Most of the gym floor was covered in thick, blue mats, with the enormous, body sinking type mats stacked underneath three ropes that dangled from the ceiling. Next to these ropes stood a giant of a man who also happened to be the gym teacher.

"My name's Ronon Dex. You'll call me Sir." Ronon smiled as he looked around at his students, noting familiar faces and cataloging new ones. "Okay, first class gets the intro thing, but only after you introduce yourself to the rope." He gestured the thumb of one fist toward the three ropes in question, which students would note differed only in how many knots were tied in them and how high up on the rope lay a wide red line. "Climb to the red line and slide back down." Ronon grabbed hold of the rope with his large hands and swung himself quickly up to the top moving hand over hand until he touched the red line. Sliding most of the way down quickly, Ronon leaped back to the ground and wiped his hands on his leather pants.

"Easy enough, but first I'm told you need a uniform. You've got five minutes." Ronon crossed his arms, expecting them to move, and fast.

Hannibal pulled out a uniform and looked at critically. He'd rather do this in boxers than wear something like this.

But, he put it on and just decided to frown and glare the entire time.

Lois was grumbling about the uniforms the whole time she was putting it on. This teacher was lucky he was hot.

Kaylee wasn't the biggest fan of the uniforms, but she also...didn't really care. So she cheerfully selected a uniform that looked small enough to be her size, whistling off-key the whole while.

Uniforms meant his clothes wouldn't get too stinky, so Sokka didn't really care much what they looked like.

...Although, really, would it have been too much to find something that matched his eyes better?

Turtle's nose wrinkled at the idea of a uniform; she didn't much see the point, for the most part, but she clad herself in one and sighed. She'd deal.

Friday got changed and tried not to focus on the fact that his shorts were very uncomfortable. He also tried not to tug the shorts down a bit every few minutes.

...yeah, Firekeeper had spent ten years of her life wrapping herself in badly-tanned deer hides, if she wore anything at all. Gym uniforms were not that big a deal.

Blind Seer wasn't gonna wear one, though.

Cassandra didn't even look at the uniform she grabbed, it wasn't important.

Which explained why she got one a size too small. Which worked out... sort of, since being tight meant that it wouldn't restrict her movement as much. As long as she didn't notice anyone looking at her.

Ichigo was used to having a school uniform just for classes, so really the gym uniform didn't phase him. He pulled it on without complaint.

Summer seriously hated gym uniforms. They really were crimes against fashion.

It's not like Lion-o really kept up with fashion, but he thought the uniform had the ugliest color he'd ever seen.

Francine was still working on how the hell did I end up in this class, is this another one of those sneaky mom things? to bitch too much about the uniform, aside from cringing at the lettering on the shorts, which seemed designed to show off one of the two portions of her anatomy she really didn't need any help with thank you.

Besides, OH MY GOD the teacher!

... Sure, he'd had uniforms before, both for school generally and gym class specifically. Still, Eric couldn't help but cringe at these ones.

Still, he changed. And very carefully did not look at the other guys in the changing room.

Rodney was not one to care about clothes, so he changed into the hideous uniform without much thought on it. Instead, he was freaking out about the class in general.

Step up! There are three ropes, one with 1 knot, one with 4 knots, and one coated with knots. Mod your success or failure, scream for help, etc.

Hannibal grabbed the rope and looked up, calculating the distance and how fast he could go.

After some quick mental math (which was more just Hannibal deciding he was going to do this faster than anyone), he jumped onto the rope and used hands and feet to shimmy up the rope with one knot. He kept a fast, smooth pace the entire time and decided this would be his easiest class if all classes were like this.

Once he'd reached the top, he stayed there for a minute, proud of himself, before sliding back down all without rope burn.

Once everyone had completed the rope, Ronon continued. "Let's hear your name, your favorite sport, and something about yourself you haven't shared already this week." Ronon pointed at random. "You, start us off."

"Hannibal King," he said, smiling at the class, "and I'm a junior. My favorite sport's anything physical so...football. Let's go with that. Oh, but I do have a soft spot for synchronized swimming." That was a lie. "The noseplugs are so sexy. As for something about me, I got stuck at the top of a rollercoaster once for hours because the ride broke down. I took a nap."

I poked around for an hour designing gym uniforms and yet I have nothing to show for it but a description: The shirts are blue with gold 'Property of Fandom High P.E. Department' lettering across the chest. The shorts are blue drawstring with FHS in gold lettering across the bottom. So attractive, omg.
