Sam hadn't intended to come to the library today, since it was the week off from classes. But he'd heard through the grapevine - aka Zoe - that the school had gotten around to hiring a new librarian. So, he was taking it upon himself to make sure everything was as clean and organized as possible, just in case the new guy was a stickler for neatness and order.

"I meant one person besides yourself," Sam said, rolling his eyes. "And complicated is fine for you because you don't think about sex the same way I do. For me, it would be complicated."

"I didn't tell you about this one -- the squirrels did," Dean pointed out.

"Fine," Dean said, pulling out a sandwich and sitting back in his chair. "So pick a topic."

"Dad came by," Sam said casually, taking the other sandwich.

"Yeah?" Dean looked at Sammy over the top of his sandwich. "The library's still standing so that's a good sign..."

"It was a good talk, actually," Sam said. "We worked some stuff out. He said he's not sorry we came after him, in the end."

"Well, considering we saved his ass...." Dean said. "Course then he saved yours so it cuts back on the smug pointing that out."

"I wasn't smug. I was too surprised to be smug," Sam insisted

"See, you gotta give Dad some credit," Dean said. "You're always so quick to believe he's going to be a dick."
