Library [07/28]

Sam was still thinking about Destiny and Free Will class as he headed to the library. There were times that class really made him wonder if he was worrying enough about the future, and today was no exception. He was so caught up in thinking, he'd even forgotten to get coffee before starting his day.

Sam couldn't help but get a bit of a warm smile at Peter's thoughts. "I like your plan better," he said casually.

"So we'll work on that," Peter said. "I'm not saying we downplay the danger. I'm just saying there's options. You're not trapped, and you're not alone."

"You know it's safer if I'm alone though, right?" Sam asked. "Less of a chance for you or anyone else to get hurt."

"Yes," Peter said. Then added, "We both get to say that once during our emo moments, right? We agreed to that?"

That got a real laugh out of Sam. "Yeah, I guess so. I know you'd never hurt me though, so I'm not worried."

"Ditto on both counts," Peter said. He reached to give Sam a light punch on the arm. "What're friends for, right?"
