How to Keep Your Neck in Modeling: A Mercenary's Guide to Fashion - Fifth Period - 07/28

Deadpool had a couture gown in the classroom today. Through a series of odd events and three phone calls to a very confused man named Weasel... he managed to grab one. It was probably for the best of all involved not to think to hard on the matter.

It was for the kids.

"So! Haute couture! That crazy style that nothing seems to make sense, but it's still all purdy anyway. Today, you kids are gonna come up with a couture dress-- yes dress-- because I'm fuzzy on the existence of couture for men."

Which just made him think of The Limited for Men, only more gay.

"So, partner off and get crackin'! Use this lovely... dress as an example!"

"Yeah, it's a hobby," Hannibal quipped while shaking his head. "I know how to take someone's dress off. I don't think that counts."

"I can do that and I can sell them," Romeo answered. "But even Ms. Bell isn't daft enough to stock anything like this. They're like costumes. I wouldn't count either."

"I don't even know how girls can move in these things," Hannibal said, wincing at some of the elaborate designs. "They look way too complicated and not comfortable."

"The metal isn't as bad as it looks, but the skirts and collars would just be impossible." Romeo agreed. "I don;'t think they're meant to be moved in beyond the runway."

He paused. "Should we assume one of us is going to have to wear it, and design something easy?"

"Good call," Hannibal said after a moment. "And not too short. I'd rather not have Professor Deadpool playing 'there's a sudden breeze!' with one of us."

"Especially not since you seem to be a special favorite," Romeo agreed. "And not too sheer, either, in case he decides to see if we can swim in the pretty."

His eyes went to one dress. "Perhaps something like this," he suggested. "but shorter, and without the stuff on the arm. It's almost a toga."

"Yeah, ain't I lucky?" Hannibal groused while turning to look at the indicated dress. "Geez, what's with the stuff on the arm. Are these girls getting ready for some war?"

"They probably are, if they're Greek," Romeo observed. "Though that's not a reason to trap a poor model."

He frowned. "Would people even wear these as costumes?"

"I don't even know if they'd wear them if that was the last thing on Earth," he replied. "Just so much fabric that isn't necessary. Naked. That's best."

"Depends on the company," Romeo pointed out.

Hannibal paused. And the nodded.

"Point," he said. "Very good point. So, nakedness is best...sometimes."

Romeo laughed. "Exactly. Though I am curious what he'd do if we told him our couture look was nudity."

"He might actually respect us more," Hannibal said. "Or make us demonstrate."

"Certain people," Romeo said, shooting a glance to Yurika, "already amused themselves far too much when I was naked in class. (Animal transformation, please don't ask.) I don't want to give them more fodder."

"I haven't gotten to experience that yet," Hannibal said. "Lucky you, huh?"

"Lucky me," Romeo agreed. "It doesn't happen too often, if that's any consolation."

"Well, you know, I don't mind being naked," Hannibal said, "but naked in front of Professor Deadpool...yeah, that's a no."

"Or, worse thought, if Deadpool decided to model our design and be naked himself," Romeo said. "I'd rather never learn what the pajamas hide."

Hannibal shuddered. "If I have nightmares tonight, I'm blaming you."

Romeo smirked. "I am always happy to be of help."

"That's why I volunteer you to wear this creation of ours if it comes to that," Hannibal said and smiled.

Romeo's mouth dropped open and no sound came out for a moment. "But you're the one who's so in favor of nudity. Could I really deprive you of the pleasure?"

"You're the one who's going to give me nightmares," Hannibal accused without heat.

"That's up to your imagination, not to me," Romeo pointed out, also without anger. "I'll model if we design a dress, though."

"If he makes us go naked, we boycott?" Hannibal suggested.
