Library [07/21]

Sam was definitely less than pleased that his clothes hadn't turned back to normal yet. His pants were way too tight and his shirt was way too loose, and he really hoped that no one would mind if he just stayed behind the desk all day.

There was e-mail checking and book checking and a little bit of Sims playing going on as Sam kept himself hidden behind the desk.

Sound the alarms and alert the press, Adah had gotten up out of her bed for something that didn't involve the clinic or her boyfriend. It did involve the library, though, which, as she walked through those doors again, felt a bit like a ressurection, and she was a little boggled at first why she'd bothered spending so much time away from here. At first. It didn't take her long to remember the whole thing about the stairs.

Either way, her bag was filled with so many notes that it almost weighed down her good shoulder as much as her right shoulder was normally, but she still needed some other research to supplement it. She basically knew what she was doing and where she was going, but she did offer...that tall kid whose legs got in the way in exam rooms...a small wave, which was more of a mere lift of her hand and a glance of acknowledgment to his existence.

Sam's long legs were in no danger of being in Adah's way with how he kept himself perched behind the desk. He smiled when he saw her, and gave her a little wave in return, just glad to have someone else in the library with him.

Sam left the library open for lunch, because doing anything to the doors would require moving too far.

Dean came in wearing pants even tighter than Sam's and a swashbuckling type white silk shirt, open over his chest. He looked at his brother for a minute then observed, "Y'know the bitch face doesn't really go with the outfit. Unless, y'know, someone's about to make you walk the plank."

"I'm not trying to make anything go with the outfit," Sam said.

"Come on," Dean said, flopping down in the seat opposite Sammy. "It could be worse."

"Yes, there could be actual pirates fighting me and stealing my clothes," Sam said. "That would make it much worse. Aren't you even the slightest bit embarrassed to be looking like that?"

"Why?" Dean asked. "I look hot."

Sam stared at Dean for a moment, before shaking his head. "Dude, you look like the cover of a romance novel."

"Nah, I'd have to have long flowing hair like..." He trailed off and looked at Sammy. "Okay, I see what your problem is."

"What?" Sam asked. "You mean besides how uncomfortable my clothes are?"

Sam took a quick chance to sneak out and grab a book from the shelves after lunch, so he could stay at the desk and read.

Peter came in, dressed for swashbuckling. He even had a hat. "Hey."

"Hey," Sam said, smirking at the hat. "Or should I say ahoy?"

"What?" Peter struck a pose. "You don't think it looks jaunty?"

"I...think you look very piratey," Sam replied. "Have you been practicing that pose?"

"Not in a mirror or anything," Peter said.

"Oh, well, that makes it a little better," Sam said.

"Hey, with some of the classes I've taken that would count as homework," Peter pointed out. "I'd think you'd encourage me."

In the interest of not dropping OOC comments in Zoe's office hours post, I'm hijacking this OCD thread to lament the out-of-print-ness of Xena DVDs. D: D: D:

Woe! :( :( Why can't they make TV shows like that anymore?

OUT OF PRINT, ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Ugh. Fail DVD company!

I checked Deep Discount and they don't even list it, and Amazon's only got the "used and new" listings from resellers, so yeah.

Of course, I fully expect that they might be holding out to do some ridiculously overpriced full-series box set for, like, the 20th anniversary (OMG already?) or something, but still. OUT OF PRINT WTF.
