Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
Despite the fact that they were still in Antarctica, the weather for the picnic was beautiful. It was sunny, warm, and clear enough to see many of the icebergs circling the island from the school's location. If people were still cold, there was more warm food than usual out on the tables, and hot drinks were being kept well-stocked.
Along with the tables and chairs near the food, there was a table of nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and one listing rooms and roommates for the new students.
It was time for the picnic to begin!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible.]

Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
He didn't, however, reach to shake her hand at all. He wasn't exactly the hand-shaking sort.
"Warren," he agreed with the slightest of nods. "You been here for a while?"
If he had to resort to falling under the buddy system, the least he could do was ask questions.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
Besides, a quiet sort might be easier. Kindred spirits, the like. "Since winter. We aren't normally in Antarctica, by the by."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
The quieter a sibling Warren had, the better. This buddy-system thing would be less intrusive, that way. He could live with that.

This was possibly the nicest Warren was going to be to anyone for a while. It was entirely possible that he was secretly thrilled not to have a clingy sort of mentor-figure, here.
"I know crazier."

"Is that so? This place might not be so bad, then, after all."

He was on an island that moved from Virginia to Antarctica and who knew where else, and he was more worried about being employed. Go figure.

Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
"I suppose that would depend on the class," he mused. "Or the teacher."

Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
Perhaps it said a good deal about Warren's last school, when he considered mad science to be a more normal class than chemistry.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
"Oh." Evey's brow raised significantly at that. "You should do well here, then. Um, is there anything you're particularly concerned about?"
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling (Summer 2008 - 2.0)
Clingy people, supervillains, clingy supervillains. Yeah, there was a good deal that Warren was concerned about.
"At least I don't have to take a bus to get to classes."

The weird thing was, he was actually thankful for the offer.
