Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening

The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone.  But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.

So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone.  A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a huge moddable buffet spread out to the flagpole.

A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.

[OOC:  YAAAAAY LUAU!  Students, teachers, and townies all welcome!]

"Doing a fine job of it. All you need is the fancy drink in the coconut," Isabel pointed out. "And possibly a surfboard."

"I wonder if Greek surfing is any good," Wes muses, as he stands up to get the aforementioned drink now that she's mentioned it. "You want anything?" he asks.

"I don't think I've ever heard it mentioned as a world class destination," she shrugged. "But if you're not picky I bet you can find something. And I'd love a bottle of water."

"Coming right up," Wes nods, pouring himself something appropriately festive and non-alcoholic, since he's got no idea that Fandom is much less, er, strict about that sort of thing, and grabs a bottle of water. "Washington's not exactly known for it either. I've gone further north up the coast a few times, but even then, it's not exactly the surfing you see in movies and stuff. The water's a lot colder, for one."

"Yeah, I've only been to the Pacific a few times," Isabel nodded. "It's much colder then the water off Virginia. I haven't been to the beach here yet, so I can't tell you how the water is."

"I'm Isabel, by the way."

"Wes," he introduces himself. "New kid, only been here a week. You?"

"New graduate," she told him. "I've been here for god, almost two and a half years now. What do you think of the place?"
