Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening

The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone.  But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.

So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone.  A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a huge moddable buffet spread out to the flagpole.

A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.

[OOC:  YAAAAAY LUAU!  Students, teachers, and townies all welcome!]

"Did you get a lei?" she asked, checking him out to see if he had one.

"I do not believe so since I do not know what one is."

Amber lifted the three that she had on around her neck and pulled off the white one. "This is a lei. Pretty flowers strung together. Do you mind if I put it on you?"

"I would be most honored by such a gift," he smiled.

Amber stood and moving closer, she reached up to put it over his head. "Hawaiians kiss each cheek..." she grinned, waiting to see if he would let her.

He grinned. How sneaky of her. "If it is in keeping with tradition, I shall not object."

Amber could be very sneaky, yes. Leaning up, hands to his shoulders, she kissed each cheek softly, smiling wide when she settled back. "Perfectly greeted, G'Kar."

"And I thank you. Is there something I am required to do in return?"

She laughed lightly. "Nope, not at all. Not unless you just want to."

"Well, it seems polite to return the favor. May I?"

"Of course," she told him, smiling up at him.

He leaned down and softly kissed each cheek. "There you are. Greeted properly."

"Thank you!" Amber exclaimed brightly and sat back down. "Now I'm just lookin' forward to the pork."

G'Kar laughed at that. "As am I. It does certainly smell enticing."

"It's makin' my mouth water, G'Kar," she said with a light giggle and nod.

"Me as well," he smirked. He sat down next to her. "This is nice. So all the students stay out here all summer?"

"Yah, we stay in cabins and each cabin has their own campfire and then there is the main one here. I have to say, I kind of like it. Kind of like campin' with certain extra amenities."

"It seems very pleasant, indeed. I shall have to try this camping sometime myself. Being in the wild rather removes the distractions we tend to get lost in so easily."

"Well, it might be more like the wild were we gettin' to stay in tents and use sleepin' bags," she said, grinning over at him. "But we do get to roast our own hot dogs and stuff so it's fun."

"It seems fun," he agreed. "I'm glad you're enjoying your summer."
