Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening
The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone. But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.
So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone. A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a hugemoddable buffet spread out to the flagpole.
A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.
[OOC: YAAAAAY LUAU! Students, teachers, and townies all welcome!]

Re: Food Tables
"Hello. My apologies."

"This isn't too fancy," he observed thoughtfully. "But I probably spend an unhealthy amount of time trying to figure out interesting new food to make, so perhaps I'm a bad person to ask."
For someone who liked to cook, Liir was anything but well padded. He was a beanstalk of a boy, tall and gawky.

Re: Food Tables
"I used to do all the cooking and I had to keep it rather sedate, but experimenting is fun as well."

...how odd he'd never thought of them like that before. Such a classification had never entered his mind. But he didn't balk. He didn't mind. It sort of fit. Though--
"Your family flings it's own poo from the rafters?"
Re: Food Tables
Re: Food Tables
It should be noted that the tone suggests he's unfamiliar with the word as opposed to questioning their reality.
After a moment, though--
"Why would an alien do something like that?"
Teddy certainly wouldn't.

Now he was completely lost.

"I'll keep that in mind, should I decide to fly around here."
He put out a hand, deciding that perhaps this topic of conversation might prove unfruitful. Or just confusing.
"Liir Thropp."
Re: Food Tables
Francine blinked and reached to shake his hand. "Francine. Oh, I said that already." Really green eyes. "Peters. Francine Peters."
Re: Food Tables
He took her hand and shook it in a firm, slow shake.
"I'm assuming you're new to this place. It's a pleasure to meet you, though."
