Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening

The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone.  But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.

So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone.  A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a huge moddable buffet spread out to the flagpole.

A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.

[OOC:  YAAAAAY LUAU!  Students, teachers, and townies all welcome!]

Dean was all for oohing over food while eating more food, so he busied himself with marshmallows while waiting for the pig to be ready.

"Be careful with those marshmallows," Meg said, walking up behind him. "There's a whole pig over there to eat."

A pig Meg wouldn't be eating. She felt bad for eating something with it's head still on.

"I'll pace myself," Dean assured her with a grin.

"Good. You can eat my share too," she said, wrinkling up her nose.

"You're turning down roast pork?" Dean asked in disbelief.

"I can't eat it like that," Meg said, looking over at the pig. "I feel bad."

"Think of it like you're helping it fulfill its destiny," Dean suggested.

Meg grinned. "Is that how you think of it?"

"Absolutely. Also, pork! There's no bad."

"I still think I'm going to stick with the fruit," she said. "But you go ahead and help that pig fulfill it's destiny."

"It's the least I can do really," Dean joked.

"I'm sure the pig will be very grateful," Meg said, smiling. "I'll help the marshmallows and pineapple fulfill their destiny."

"We all have our roles to play."

"You're right," she said. She grinned. "I'm surprised. I've been here for a while now and not a single person has asked me if I wanted to get lei'd. I guess Fandom is classier than Neptune."

Dean laughed out loud appreciatively, then leered at her. "Sweetheart, any time you want, I'm your man."

"That's not the kind of laid I was talking about," Meg said, smirking. "But I'll definitely keep that in mind."
