Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening

The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone.  But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.

So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone.  A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a huge moddable buffet spread out to the flagpole. 

A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.

"Hi," he said dumbly as his lei blew delicately against his bare chest in the breeze. "You use your magic for good, right? I mean, you aren't like, some evil dude who possess people and makes them perform sexual acts under spells, right?"

Luke stared.

"...um?" he said eloquently.

"I just wanted to make sure after my cabinmate set himself on fire the other day," Toby shrugged. "The people here are creeping me out."

"...he set himself on fire?" Luke shook his head, then rolled his eyes. "Peoople being completely stupid is sadly universal, powers or not. I'm sorry you were creeped out."

"He did, I thought the dude was gonna burn to death," Toby clarified, eyes wide as it would've been so depressing to lose a cabinmate so hot. "And you seem nice, like that chick." It helped that Luke wasn't hard on the eyes, either.

"Which chick?" Luke asked. "What cabin are you in?"

"The one who told me you're a Jetta," Toby replied, trying to remember her name. "I'm in Virgin, which is probably the worst named cabin ever."

"Jetta?" Luke looked confused. "Oh, Jedi! Last year I was in Platypus. That was pretty bad, too."

Not the same, Luke, no.

"I'm pretty sure I'm not an Ursa Major, either," Luke said thoughtfully, "but that's where I am this summer."
