Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening

The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone.  But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.

So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone.  A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a huge moddable buffet spread out to the flagpole.

A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.

[OOC:  YAAAAAY LUAU!  Students, teachers, and townies all welcome!]

Turtle quirked a slight grin; it was good to hear that it sounded like her roomie might have the same opinion of drinking that she had, and she nodded in a sort of approval.

"That could be good," she mused, regarding Jeff, "or it could be bad. He's hard to predict. Currently, we're dealing with the issue that his dog has pretty much made his alcove almost entirely uninhabitable..."

Ella noted the slight grin and was relieved. Turtle, it seemed, would not be using her under-bed area as a liquor cabinet, and that was probably for the best.

"Goodness," she said, about the dog. "So is he staying in your alcove, and letting the dog have his? That would be crowded."

Turtle nodded a little. "It is. But Nana is actually bigger than me, I think, so it turns out less crowded for Jeff, if more crowded for me. It's also a lot less gross, though. I feel bad for Fosse if he has to clean that alcove once we move out because that dog? Can drool like no body's business."

Imagining an alcove full of a girl-sized, dog-shaped mound of drool and fur, Ella shuddered. "I think I'm afraid of Nana now. Or at least her drool."

Eyes slightly wide, Turtle's head bobbed repeatedly. "As you should. Not to be trifled with. At all."

"You won't let him bring her to our room, will you?" Ella asked, a note of horror in her voice.

"Nope. Nana's not allowed, don't worry."
