"Good morning," she said mildly, as she waited for her class to settle, "I am Dr. Juli Mizrahi and welcome to ‘Inside Out’. While in class I expect to be addressed as either Dr. Mizrahi, or Professor Mizrahi." A pause. "Though I will reconsider my stance on that, if you have an alternative but equally respectful way of addressing me."

"I’m sure by now that many of you have noticed that, in Fandom, there’s much that’s difference from your homes.” Hopefully, at least. Juli would have to wonder at the kind of world where everything was always like Fandom. It didn’t fully bear thinking about. “The purpose of this class is to discuss some of the ways that we’re all different--in our background, our outlooks, and our methods of accomplishing things."

"Today’s is merely an introductory class. I’d like you all to answer the following questions: What is your name? Age? What year of schooling are you in? What is the biggest difference you’ve noticed so far between Fandom and your home? And what is your favourite time of the day?" Juli smiled faintly, "Once you’ve answered that, each of you may ask me one question--within reason--and I shall answer honestly."

"She also claimed that people were always there to catch her," Temari said dryly.

"I'd say 'well, wouldn't you lie if someone didn't catch you', but I get the feeling that she's always so... sincere."

Another very confused nod.

"Maybe her home doesn't have violence?"

"I'd like to think," Juli said dryly, "that violence is not the only reason we have brains--or that we'd lose them if we lacked violence. Does your world have a great deal of it?"

"It has enough."

Translation: Lots and lots.

"Of course," she murmured, well used to reading between the lines. "If I might ask, is this vacation or work then?"

"Both, I suspect."

She laughed softly.

"And which would you prefer it to be?"

"To be honest, a job." Then she'd be useful.
