Library [25.04]

Karal was early, and he spent a few minutes simply looking around the library before opening it.

This was his last day as a library aide, and he was only just realising how much he'd miss it.

Karal smiled and relaxed a little. "Thank you. I'll be less likely to worry with two people watching over him," he said. "And it's almost the same. I don't think we'll be gone for more than a week, ten days at the most, Fandom time."

John was relieved by that answer. "All the potential time differences get a little headachey after a while."

"When I first arrived, time ran slower there than it does here, a day there to a week here. As the storms grew worse, the time difference changed." He rubbed his temple. "It was quite a surprise to return and find that out!"

"That's pretty wonky," John said, eyes wide, wondering how the time might change after the problem was solved. "I should probably get going if I'm going to pick up my tux before language club. Thanks for the information, it helped." More than Karal could know, really.

"I'm glad it helped, John." He glanced at the floor then back up. "I wouldn't have asked them at all if there'd been any choice," he added, then smiled. "And you'd better hurry. I don't want to incur the wrath of Jaina if talking to me makes you too late to fetch it."

"I promise not to blame you if I'm late. Sometimes it's fun to incur a little wrath," John laughed slightly, teasing.
