Criminal Justice (As Taught By A Criminal) - Period 3 - Monday 04/07

In class today there were puppies.

Well, one puppy with an odd glowy eye, a deaf wolf, and a weetiny fox.

But they were all adorable.

"Good morning kids! Today we are learning about drug sniffing dogs." A beat. "And fox."

Which was totally used by law enforcement officials, shut up.

"Now, I have hidden drugs somewhere in this room and these intrepid animals are going to show you just how incredible their sense of smell is." He looked down at them all, nodding seriously. "Go find the drugs!"

...

They all just sat there, hoping for treats. Except for Max, who started to groom her tail.

"Damn it. I knew I shoulda stolen real ones."

Dean had dealt with his brother's puppy and his brother as a puppy so the hurling at the legs thing didn't take him completely by surprised. He knelt so he could get his hands better on the wriggling puppy to both steady him and pet.

Shifting his back just so to get to just the right angle of petting, Tether pressed sideways into Dean's legs.

He may have attempted a clumsy lick or two at Dean's hands, too.

Tether was not made to be a drug-sniffing dog.

Dean had pretty much come to that conclusion too -- as he grinned and lavished attention on the puppy. "Don't worry about it, buddy. I'm not much for official job type things either."
