Library [03/24]

Sam was on a bit of a sugar high this morning, in addition to being armed with his usual cup of coffee. Luckily, Dean was giving him space and alone time again, so only the books got to witness him being jittery as he set up for the day.

There weren't many books that needed to be checked in, but Sam got that done first nonetheless.

Sam was starting to come down a little from his sugar high, but he was still hyper enough to find his e-mail funnier than it probably should have been.

For the first time in a while, ~~and possibly inspired by earlier events of the day~~ Sam fired up the Sims, and checked on his houses. After doing some cleanup, he had three houses left: one for him and Dawn, one for Dean, Alec, and Meg, and one for Peter and Brooke. He couldn't bring himself to take Alec out, and he wasn't going to spend a lot of time thinking about why he couldn't.

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except the librarian, the other aides, and Dean, if he could pry Sam away from the Sims long enough to eat.

While looking for new skins and things to add to his Sims houses, Sam was surprised to find a skin that looked a lot like one of the guys in his Lawyering class. He thought about maybe adding him to Peter and Brooke's house, just to see what would happen, but in the end, he decided to leave things the way they were ~~pure and untainted by disease~~.

Sam took a slow sweep through the library, to make sure nothing was hiding or hanging around that shouldn't be, before closing up for the day.

Dean came in with lunch as usual and to show what an awesome brother he was, there was even leftover Easter chocolate to share.

"So whatcha hard at work at?" he asked as he came in and took his usual seat, craning his head to try and get a look at Sammy's computer screen.

"Nothing," Sam said quickly, trying to minimize the game so Dean couldn't see. "It's time for lunch already?"

"Yep." The speed at which Sammy moved to keep him from seeing just made Dean all the more curious. "So you looking at porn?"

Peter was there, right on time. "Hey."

"What? No!" Sam said. "I'm not going to do that here, you know that!"

"Hey," Sam said, as happy to see Peter as always. "How's it going?"

"Not bad." Peter set out the coffee. "You? Have a good Easter?"

"You'll just make out with Dawn in here," Dean pointed out.

After mythology class, Dawn bounced into the library, gave Sam a wave that he might or might not have noticed, and headed into the 200s to do some browsing and reading.

She'd probably be spending the rest of the day there, but she was definitely doing her homework, so that was good.

"Pretty good. I didn't go to church, but I haven't been struck by lightning yet, so..."

"Pffft." Peter waved it off. "I'm sure that's way down on the list of things to worry about."

Sam caught the wave, and watched her head into the stacks. "Need any help?" he called.

"I'm not going to do that either!" Sam said, thinking Dean didn't need the details of his plan to do just that at some point.

"It would be nice if it wasn't, but yeah, I guess it is," Sam said. "How was your Easter? Did you and Nathan do anything?"

"Not unless you want to keep me company," she called back, "We're supposed to browse the religion section for mythology homework."

A few minutes later, she called again, "If I'm not out by the end of the day, could you leave me a sandwich or something?"

"Hit the mainland," Peter replied. "Took in a Mass, had a nice dinner. Convinced Nathan I am never going to golf. How about you guys?"
