Sam was on a bit of a sugar high this morning, in addition to being armed with his usual cup of coffee. Luckily, Dean was giving him space and alone time again, so only the books got to witness him being jittery as he set up for the day.

"Adah left her rabbit here, and she had her babies in the librarian's office," Sam said, not getting into exactly how cute the babies had been. "And The Sims is a game." He turned the computer monitor a little so she could see. "It's kind of dorky because you just try to make your neighborhood work well, and keep people from like, catching themselves on fire most of the time, but it's fun."

"There are baby bunnies here and you're just telling me now?" She asked, already looking around, then glancing back at the monitor. "Do people catch themselves on fire a lot?"

"They're in the librarian's office," Sam said. "And yes, they do. Sometimes when I want them too. I used to set Alec on fire a lot."

"Oooh, can I see? Wait. Did you say Alec's in your video game?" Yeah, she still wasn't completely clear on this. "Not really Alec, right?"

In Fandom it was important to check.

"You can go and look at them if you want. They're really cute." Maybe if Dawn saw them, she'd be okay with him taking one.

"No, it's not really Alec. Just a character I made to represent Alec," he said, pointing. "That's Alec and Dean and Meg over here, and that's you and me."

Bunnies could maybe wait a few more minutes, Dawn decided. "You put Alec and Dean and Meg in one house and us in another?"

Cue dorky grin. "Is it a nice house?"

"Of course," Sam said. "It's the biggest and best house in the neighborhood."

Dawn cracked up. "Did you salt all the doorways and windows, too?"

"There are no virtual demons, so we're all safe in here," Sam explained.

"So it's not really us, huh?" She glanced up at Sam. "So, what do we all do, if we're not fighting demons?"

"We live normal lives," Sam said. "We talk to our neighbors, and go to work, and...it's less boring than it sounds."

"Okaaaay...."

"It is, I swear. At least, to me it is," Sam said. "I like trying to make everyone get along, and making everything in the neighborhood improve. And occasionally torturing Alec, but I don't do that much anymore."

Dawn smirked at him. "So. Spend a lot of time being God?"

Sam grinned. "Yes. But I'm a benevolent God, I promise."

"Unless you're Alec."

"I'm nice to him now," Sam explained. "Now that he's not here to drive me crazy and make me take my anger out on his computerized version."

"Does this mean you'll be crazy grumpy guy again when he gets back?"

"No, I'll be good. I know how much Dean cares about him, and I'm tired of fighting with Alec and having it hurt Dean," Sam said. "I might set him on fire a little though if he starts trying to drive me nuts again."

"In the game, right?"

Sam was good, and didn't smirk too much. "Yes, in the game."

"Just checking." She grinned. "Yay for progress. Now all we have to do is make him come back."

"I don't know if we can make him as much as we can wait for him to be done with whatever it is he's doing."

Dawn sighed, tucking hair behind her ear. "Sure, be patient logic guy."
