After what seemed like far too long without a library shift- probably because it had been, from his point of view- Bridge makes sure to arrive a little early to open the library for the day.

And it's not as if Jen's the type to actively go for a hug, but her posture is just perceptibly more relaxed than normal today to indicate to an observant person that she wouldn't discourage one if it was offered.

"Hey, Bridge," she says. "I didn't get a chance to tell you yesterday that I'm glad you're back safe."

And Bridge is certainly observant, so he takes that as his cue to move forward and give her a hug. "Thanks," he says. "I'm glad to *be* back."

Jen doesn't have a hug icon yet, and really, this one is SO WRONG in the circumstances wraps one arm around him, awkwardly, then the other. "I'm sorry I couldn't come after you myself," she says, and there's a definite touch of guilt in her tone.

Bridge is observant enough to pick up on *that*, too. "Don't be," he says quietly. "I know you would've if you could."

She actually hugs him a little harder, and hopes it's a subtle enough shift in pressure that he can't tell. "Some Time Force officer, huh?" asks Jen, but it's less bitter than it is simply rueful.

"The best I've ever met," Bridge replies honestly.

"I'm the only one you've ever met," Jen replies, but she's smiling now. It's barely a smile, but it's there.
