Today the Danger Shop was configured to look like a shore.

And on that shore, there was an elephant.

And next to that elephant was a teacher holding a series of handouts.

"Today, we're teaching yoga to an elephant," he said, pointing at the elephant. "Well, you are. I've already done that."

No he hadn't.

"Read the handouts, practice a few of the movements--if you manage to squeeze yourself into a wine jug, make sure to oil yourself up well because I'm not breaking you back out--and then take turns trying to teach Vana here some yoga."

The elephant looked in no way interested in being taught.

At some point during the proceedings, Inara waved at Karal from an upside down position.

She hadn't bothered with the elephant.

Karal blinked at her in surprise. "You seem to be upside down," he called out, sounding amused.

"You seem to be upside down as well," she teased. Inara concentrated on taking even, measured breaths so she didn't pass out, then extended an arm out to the side slowly and carefully as she tried to maintain her balance. "It's all in your perception of the situation."

Karal smiled warmly at her. "You are wise, as always, Inara."

Her laughter toppled her over and she grinned up at Karal from her spot on the floor. "I was full of it, but it's fun. Have you and Evey recovered from this weekend?"

Karal's laugh echoed Inara's. "We have, I think. We spent some time simply being together and being silly after it was over, and it helped. What of you?" He walked over to offer her a hand up. "Are you and Gavin both well?"

Inara accepted his hand and gracefully got to her feet, though her hair was everywhere. "I haven't seen much of Gavin lately, but I'm doing very well, thank you. Jaina's gone again, but I assume you knew that."

"Jaina's gone?" he asked, then shook his head. "No, I didn't. Is everything all right?"

"I think so? She left me a note that said she was going home for a little while," she said, worried now that she was talking to Karal about it. "I hope there's nothing urgent."

"I'm sure everything is fine," he said soothingly. "She has responsibilities at home, so it is not surprising she'd be recalled."

He looked at the ground for a moment, mulling it over, then glanced at her. "There is something I would like to tell you, about Evey and I, if I could."

Karal wanted to tell someone, the only people he would ever tell were Gavin and Inara, and Inara was here, and needing a distraction from potentially worrying about Jaina.

"No, I suppose not," she admitted, then glanced over at Karal with concern. "Everything is going well with you and Evey, is it not?"
