After everything that happened last week, Sam wanted nothing more than for things to go back to being normal and quiet. He still felt a little tired, but that didn't stop him from heading to the library for his shift. If it weren't for the fact that Dean insisted on coming with him, this could have looked like any other Monday.

"Yeah, sorry about that," Dean said, actually looking a little contrite. "I just... I needed to be here today, y'know?"

"Yeah, I understand," Meg said. "I wouldn't have went either if something like that happened to my sisters." Not that it ever, ever would.

"Luckily my sister is still in the not getting in trouble stage," Dean said.

"She won't be for a while, hopefully," Meg said. "And I doubt she'll get in the trouble Lizzie gets in with two protective older brothers."

"Oh, I don't know," Dean said. "She is a Winchester after all. We're not exactly trouble repellent. But yeah, with two older brothers, not to mention Dad and Zoe, she shouldn't have to worry about getting bailed out when she does get in trouble."

"Well, see, you can afford to get into trouble when you have backup like that," Meg said with a grin. Her family not so much.

"From what I heard, you were pretty good trouble backup yourself on your mission," Dean said.

"Yeah, I guess I was okay. I mean, I didn't die or have to get saved or anything," she said. "And I killed a robot with a laser rifle. That was awesome."

Dean grinned. "That's my girl. We'll make a hunter of you yet."

"It was kinda fun," she said. Didn't mean she was going to go out looking for that stuff anytime soon though. "How was your trip? No hall of blades or spending the night in dungeons for you was there?"

"There was a lion cub. And a giant moving dinosaur skeleton," Dean said. There was more, but that memory was really fuzzy.

"I should have known that those trips weren't going to be easy," Meg said, shaking her head.

"Nothing important ever is," Dean observed.

"You're right. And it worked in the end so it was worth it," she said. "I just hope this covers the weird crisis quota for the month."
