With his new decision to NEVER EVER DRIVE, Lee was choosing today to spend looking up alternate methods of transportation. So far, street luge seemed like the fastest, most exciting and Lee had already thrown out rollerskating (way too girly) and using a pogo stick (because ow).

He even had a list. He was determined to be productive.

"Or I could just very intentionally make you think that I forgot to respect the hair simply to see what the fallout may be."

"But now that you've admitted that you might do that, I know not to believe anything you say," Lee said, nodding. "Too bad."

"Either that," Adah tilted her head a little with a light grin, "or I've just bought myself a free safety ticket for ever actually forgetting, because, if I do, you'll think I'm just pretending."

"True," Lee admitted, shrugging one shoulder. "But, I think I'll take that chance so I don't give away my greatest secrets."

"Fair enough. We all need our secrets."

Adah paused a moment, her lower lip ducking underneath her teeth a little as she considered the Eel quietly. Her eyes dropped to her wrist, to her watch, checking the time.

"I...should probably get going. I've been showing up late a lot for my shifts, so I'd best not tempt fate by risking it again."

He tilted his head, quiet for a moment. "Do I get a kiss before you go?"

Adah grinned again almost instantly. "I said I didn't want to be late."

"Quick kiss," he amended. "Nice and quick."

"A little late wouldn't be too bad," Adah added quietly, smiling lightly as she leaned a little forward. "You'll have to help me out, though; it's a bit difficult for me to reach you with this desk here, and I'll probably end up just smacking my forehead against your nose if I tried."

"Bad desk," Lee said, leaning forward, grinning briefly before catching her lips in a kiss.

Adah would have created a light chorus of agreement on the matter of the desk and its negative properties for existing, but, well, there was kissing to be had, and so the only agreement the Eel would get was the curl of a smile on her lips as their lips met. And even that faded when she closed her eyes, given away so that all her focus was into kissing him back.

Lee pressed a little closer, deepening the kiss just a bit, not too much that they got carried away though.

She had a clinic shift and he had the rest of the day to get through, after all.

Not to mention the fact that they had both been in agreement to the fact that it had seemed like an awful long time since they talked. Granted, there wasn't a whole lot of talking involved in this, but such details could easily be overlooked. The desk started digging into the side of Adah's hip as she leaned into the kiss a little more and her neck was pulling a bit uncomfortably, but she could ignore it for a moment longer.

Lee was fully on board with the ignoring and he even managed to bring a hand up, brush along her cheek and through her hair before settling on her shoulder while he continued to kiss her.

The traveling hand had quite an effect on Adah; it usually did. As if the kissing wasn't enough, it seemed that all her neurons seemed to just jump, sharply at first, in a way that made a light sound slip out of her as she kissed the Eel, to follow its movement as closely as possible. As it started to drift down her hair, her body responded in kind, shoulders and spine relaxing, melting into it until it settled, and they settled with it and she pulled back enough to draw in a breath and grin at the feeling before kissing him again.

"You might be late," Lee managed to mumble during a brief moment where he had to breathe before coming closer and kissing her again.

"Should've known this was a bad idea," Adah muttered back with a light grin, but she still wasn't exactly pulling away, either.

"This is never a bad idea," he said and kissed her chin. "Never ever."

Smiling lightly at the kiss on her chin, Adah ducked her head to catch his lips with hers once more before agreeing, "No, I suppose it isn't. But you got your kiss; I really should go now."
