Mac would have been reshelving books today.

That is to say, she would've been, were she not dodging rabid cleaning supplies.

In her opinion, dusters that move on their own are infinitely worse than the dust bunnies that made the mess in the first place.

Head cocked tot he side just a hair, he considered it. Mind moving quickly and orderly.

River smiled a little. "Just a suggestion."

He smiled again, looking away. "Yes, I know. Perhaps I should follow the nice bartender's advice and get a dog."

There was a clear image of Robin in his mind. Just in case River needed clarification as to who he was referring to.

"Pets are good company." River nodded. "I have a tentacled monster."

"Tentacled monster?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "How does one come by such a pet?"

"Found him under the bed," River said, although it had been a little more complicated than that.

"I can see where that may be a problem." Said the man still wearing a sort of uniform of nondescript blues as he didn't wish to venture into any stores.

"My former roommate used to give me advice on clothes," River said. "Perhaps someone can help you with that."

He looked down at his clothing. "They are still wearable."

"Might help you in distancing yourself from you former occupation." Here she smirked. "Am uncertain whether a blonde wig suits you though."

He looked away, something near a laugh almost escaping his lips. "Not my style, I must admit."

There was a hint of an image in his head, quickly put away before it could form completely.

Captain Reynolds in shawl had been amusing, to say the least.

"Should I take that as a compliment?"

River's eyes widened a little, then she relaxed. "No, simply an assessment of suitable clothing."

He had gotten too relaxed in this conversation. Training had to be remembered around River Tam.

"Perhaps I will look into more clothing."
