Mac sat up a little straighter, and smiled at Peter. "Morning."

"Ooh. You come bearing coffee. Always a brightener for the day."

"Coffee and sugar," Peter said. "Never let it be said I don't treat my roommate as well as my best friend."

"Never said it," Mac confirmed, gesturing him over.

"And I'm not about to start, especially not if you keep this up," she added.

"I'm sure I could," Peter said. He put the coffee and donuts down on the counter. "So how's it going? Any big plans for the break?"

Mac shook her head. "Going... not too bad, I guess. Almost too quiet, y'know. I'll work on this, whole, socialisation thing sometime. Maybe."

She shrugged. "I was just going to stay here."

"I don't have any plans either," Peter said. "Nathan was making some noise about it but we'll see. Mostly I'm just happy for the time off from class."

"No complaints about a free week from me," Mac agreed. "Should be nice. Maybe there'll be something interesting going on. You never know."

"Still, it'll probably be a little more interesting than the average week in the life of me."
