Library [02/21]

Coffee in one hand and laptop tucked under the other, Bridge does some creative juggling in order to fish out the keys to the library from his pocket.

The library is open.

And there was a Sky, wandering in to visit, of course.

"Hey," Bridge says absently, with a little wave. He might be just a *little* focused on his Inventiontronics notes, yes.

"Are you busy?" Sky asked quickly. "I can come back later if you are..."

"I'm not, I mean, I am, but there's over a week till class starts up again, so it's not like I don't have time, I guess. What I'm saying is, what's up?" He looks up from his notes and gives Sky a smile.

Sky leaned against the counter and returned the smile.

"Not much," he admitted, before going a little pink. "I haven't seen Troy in a few days. I miss him." He rubbed the back of his head, feeling embarrassed. "...Got any plans for the break?"

"Working on my project for Inventiontronics class mostly," Bridge admits. "Hanging out with Xander. Hanging out in the dorms. Some people are going away for part of the break, but I don't think I'm gonna."

"Me, neither," said Sky. "I don't really have any place to go, actually. Plus, I have work tomorrow and next Friday. ...You know, you and Z and I should do something," he suggested.

"Your hair's too short for braiding," Bridge says skeptically.

Sky merely gave him a strange look and a "Huh?" in reply.

"Z suggested we do some sort of team-y thing a while ago. It was decided that braiding each others' hair wouldn't work 'cause yours is too short."

That got an eyeroll in response.

"Gotcha. And even if it was long enough, I don't think I would."

"Of course not," Bridge replies with a nod. He doesn't add that *he* totally would do it, just 'cause it'd be funny.

Sky then looked thoughtful.

"Then again, this is also coming from the guy who willingly walked around town in a banana suit for 4 hours..."

"Nobody would see the braids if you were wearing the banana suit."

...What? It's true!

This got another eyeroll, but Sky was still smiling.

"...That is true. Seriously, though, the three of us need to hang out more. Get to know each other a little better. I don't even know what to suggest that we do together, though."

"I've got lightball gloves," Bridge says, after a moment. "And the hallways make a really good playing field," he grins.

"...I was about to question if that was within the rules, but then again, there was that time a few weeks ago where there was, apparently, a slip n' slide covered with chocolate sauce on the third floor. I guess lightball isn't too bad by comparison," said Sky thoughtfully. "So I'm up for it if you guys are."

"Absolutely," Bridge grins.

"Great," said Sky, giving a thumbs-up and turning to go. "Let me know what time's good for you, then; you know where my room is and where I'll be all day tomorrow. Oh yes, and what I'll be wearing..." Groan. "I'll let you get back to your inventing. See ya later, buddy."
