With a book and a bottle of water, Lee's back in the library, leaning back in his chair and looking about as comfortable as someone can look behind the library desk.

He's not really reading the book, more skimming for something to do to pass the time.

"I think it's our duty," he said solemnly. "It must be done."

"When?" Adah grinned, lowering both her head and her voice as if Fate might hear their conspiring, and threatening further pain in her hip in the attempt to practically brush her forehead against his. "Where? No offense, but I don't see you as much of a morning person. I'm not either, though, but if you think you can wing it, for duty's sake, that's usually when my roommate's out of the room to take care of her horse, and then I won't have to bother with those damn stairs."

"All my classes are on Wednesday," he said, nodding. "I have to do something tomorrow but any other day is fine with me. Fine enough that I'd wake up early and come down to your room. I'll get some coffee in me beforehand."

"I have class tomorrow, anyway," Adah grinned, "so I expect to see you Tuesday, or else you'll have to deal with a very pissed off me on Wednesday, and, believe me, I can get kind of scary when I'm angry."

She, of course, made her expression as innocent as possible when saying that, oozing saccharine sweetness that she really would never be able to pull off well.

"Don't worry," he assured her with a quick grin. "You'll see me on Tuesday, bright and early."

"You better hope so," Adah warned him, ducking her head with a warning look that slowly morphed into another light kiss.

"Promise," he mumbled against her lips.
