Library [01/21]

Sam was doing his best to not think about the weekend as he went to open the library. He was working especially hard to not think about being in Dean's room the night before. There were certain things little brothers just didn't need to know about their big brothers.

Sam welcomed the sight of a tall stack of books that needed to be checked in.

Sam checked his e-mail, and then checked to make sure everything he'd bought Dean for his birthday was on the way.

Sam thought about playing The Sims, but it just didn't seem right today.

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except the librarian, the other aides, and Dean.

For once, Sam actually allowed himself to hope that Peter would show up for his now-regular visit. He was dying to know how his weekend had gone.

Sam took a final sweep through the library to make sure he had everything cleaned up before he locked up.

Happy holiday to those who don't have to work today!

Dawn decided to check on Sam after Mythology class, just to make sure he wasn't trapped under a book or a dog or a cat or Dean or something.

"Welcome back."

Sam wasn't trapped under anything, but he was sure wishing he was under his desk right now.

"I hate this place. Have I mentioned that?"

"It's come up once or twice, yeah. You okay?"

Back the library again, this time with a more specific goal. He brought back some of the books he'd taken out the last time with Anemone's help since he'd read through the pertinent sections and taken the notes he'd need. Now, though, he was here for books on chrystology.

...now, how to use that system Anemone had pointed out to find books on chrystology.

Hence, there was a rather curious looking Liir peering around the library.

What about those of us who do? WOE.

Yup, there was Peter. Though he lacked the usual coffee and donuts. It was as though he'd gone directly from class to the library. Because he had. "Hey."

You get nothing but shirtlessness. ;)

Sam glanced up from his e-mail and smiled. Someone curious looking was always a welcome sight around here.

"Hey," he said. "Can I help you?"

"Yeah, I'm okay now. Somewhat psychologically scarred, but it'll pass." Sam smirked at Dawn. "Thank you for taking care of me on Saturday, and not letting Scout eat me."

"Hey," Sam said, perking up almost immediately. But he got subdued almost as quickly when he saw how Peter looked. "Are you okay?"

"It would have been tough to explain to your dad," she said, then couldn't help grinning at him. "Purple sacrificial underwear?"

"I think so?"

He didn't want to intrude on whatever the other man was doing, after all.

"Would you happen to know where I could find a book on crystology?"

[ooc: misjournal FTW! *facepalm*]

Sam perked up a little. "That depends. Are you looking for crystology in general, or are you looking into using crystals for a specific purpose?" He really was a great big nerd sometimes.

[haha, I've totally done that before.]

Liir was a nerd in training. He loved learning and he was desperate for more, but there wasn't much (in his opinion especially) that he knew much of anything about.

Well, perhaps one thing, but insanity doesn't count.

"Something specific," he admitted. "Holding memories. I was told that a crystal might work?"

Peter was trying to hold it together. But he wasn't the one of the two brothers who could hold it together well.

"No?"

"Those are three words I would be perfectly happy to never hear in the same sentence again," Sam said.
