Library [1.15]

Tea?  Check.  Gulliver?  Check.  Library in the right spot?  Check.

Armed and ready to face the books, Anemone opened the library.

And in wandered a somewhat familiar (well, she's seen it before) face.

"Hello?"

...there was a lot of books in here. An almost terrifying amount.

"Something on memory," he admitted. "The nature of it, possibly storage of it. Perhaps the human mind?"

The first two books she pointed out looked good, though the last seemed a bit ghastly. He shrugged.

"I don't really know. Psychological, I'd think. It's for an invention for Inventiontronics."

"It's a class on Mondays," he explained, "taught by Professor Ambrose. And I'm trying to invent, well... a backup for memories. One that would record them along with a person so that if they lost their memories, they could get them back again."

"I was thinking of that," he admitted. "I mean, if they're just not in your head, maybe. They'd probably still be elsewhere on you, after all. Your hair, your skin, the things important to you. That's easy enough."

He didn't realize it wasn't easy for everyone. It's never really come up.

"But if they're all really really gone, I don't think so. I don't even know how you'd do that."

A.J. had been up for...maybe a few hours, and he was already bored. So he was thinking of what he might possibly do to satiate his boredom, figured that he hadn't seen Anemone for a while but knew she was at the library today, and so, thus it came to be that he was in a place that he would probably never really be hardly ever.

"Anemone!" At least he knew to keep his voice in a quiet whisper, although the greeting wasn't lessened at all in cheerfulness. "Guess what!"

"Ooh, no," A.J. smirked, "but that's an awesome idea..."

Distracted for a moment over pondering if he might be allowed do do that (it was getting increasingly cooler with every ticking second), he shook his head to get himself back on track. "No. Not that. I learned something new last week. I," he straightened proudly, importantly, "can now braid hair."

The implication of 'now let me at that long beautiful pinkness!' was not said, but, really, did it need to be?

Snorting slightly, A.J. leveled a look at Anemone. "Yeah, 'cause so many of the girls here are the doll-playing type," he commented before informing her, "And, actually, it was Ino. She taught me how and let me practice on her hair. Which, by the way, you're lucky is a regular color, because if it weren't, you might have a rival for best hair ever."

"Well," he added with a smirk and a shake of his head a second later, "besides me, of course."

A.J. was already leaning...heavily...toward Annette on that theory...

"You know, though, Anemone," A.J. pointed out with an exaggeratedly hopeless sigh, "I'll never know for sure unless I have experience to base this claim on."

A.J. chuckled. "Well, I didn't necessarily mean now. I don't want to interrupt your hard work or anything. I just thought I'd come warn you that we have to do it now. Sometime. I actually should be getting some books while I'm here, actually. Crazy, isn't it?"

A snort escaped at the end. "If I want to. You'd like it, too, I'll bet."
