Sam was very glad to be back in the library after the Christmas break. He had coffee, and a muffin, and was almost certain that he was ready for whatever the day would bring.

Sam set about checking in the books on the main desk, and seeing if anyone had books that were late.

Then he took some time to finish his coffee and check his e-mail.

Then he disappeared into the stacks, working on organizing some of the more stuffed shelves into having more space.

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except the librarian, the other aides, and Dean.

It felt weird to not have anything to study, so Sam just picked a random book to read.

Sam took a final sweep through the library to make sure he had everything cleaned up before he locked up.

"Similar, but different," Peter said. He put the coffee and donuts down on the counter. "This time instead of getting me before class, you're getting me after."

"Oh yeah? Which class," Sam asked, taking the coffee like the addict he was.

"That's Deadpool's class, right?" Sam asked. "Interesting wouldn't surprise me."

"I think I won him over by talking about porn," Peter said.

It was entirely possible he mentioned that just because he knew Nathan would be listening to the radio that night.

Thinking about Peter talking about porn was exactly what Sam's morning needed, really.

"Well, that's a good way to start the semester, impressing the teacher and all."

"Plus he seems to appreciate my educational style," Peter said. "He might be my favorite teacher so far. Other than your dad, of course."

"I guess we'll have to see if Nathan becomes one of my favorite teachers," Sam teased. "I'm glad you like my dad. I never would have imagined him teaching, but he seems to like it."

Sam smirked, and leaned over the desk a little. "Hey, speaking of teaching, I was thinking about something over the break. You know how I offered to help you practice with your abilities?"

"You're thinking of doing class to help other people?" Peter guessed.

"Not other people in general. Just you. It would be easier for me than playing target practice for your fireballs," Sam said with a grin. "And if you ever need to use magic again for something, then maybe I can help you be prepared for it."
