Sam was very glad to be back in the library after the Christmas break. He had coffee, and a muffin, and was almost certain that he was ready for whatever the day would bring.

"Unfortunately, I think my Chinese skills are non-existent," Sam said. "If there are people still speaking it, I don't really know it."

"Would he think I was completely insane if I did that?" Sam asked. "That might not be the best side effect."

"Um, maybe?" Dawn was soooo writing her next letter to him in mirror-imaged pig latin now, regardless of what Sam did. "Honestly? I'm pretty sure he already thinks you're insane for dating me, so it probably won't make a difference."
