Kara grabbed a soda and took a small sip, walking around, taking in the general weirdness that she was finding out was Fandom High.

Clearly, Clark didn't know this place well if he'd actually considered sending her here to be safe.

It was weird.

But, surprisingly, interesting.

"You must be new because I know I'd've remembered a pretty face like yours," Dean said, smiling at the blonde.

Kara directed her attention at Dean, a soft smile gracing her lips. "Kara," she said confidently as she offered him her hand. "Kara Kent."

Dean took her hand with a bright smile. "Dean Winchester," he said. "I think you've met my little brother Sammy?"

Kara nods, her hand doing that thing where it lingers for a moment too long in his hand before she slides it out of his grip. "I have, yeah. He's my big brother," Kara said, making with the air quotes. She realized who he was when he mentioned his last name. "He told me his brother went here." He had neglected, though, to mention that his brother was seriously cute. "It's good to put a face and a name to the mysterious figure, though."

Oh, Kara. Trying so hard not to flirt.

"That's me. Just your average mysterious handsome figure," Dean said. "I guess in some way that makes me your bigger brother. Or something."

"Let's stick with 'Or something'," Kara replied, throwing caution to the wind. She took a sip of her cherry cola. "One big brother's more than I can handle right now."

"As brothers go, Sammy's a good draw for you to get," Dean said. "Even if he is kinda geeky."

"I guess that makes you the non-geeky one in the family." Because, let's face it, between herself and Clark, Clark was the geek. "He seems like a nice guy. Sweet. Helpful."

"He is. Just a completely overgrown puppy." Dean grinned widely. "And I'm the cool older brother with the hot car."

"And a weakness for every hot girl that walks past, I bet." Kara raises an eyebrow and smirks at him.

Cars don't impress her much.

She flies, after all.

Kara chuckled. "And is your keen interest currently directed at my form, Dean?"

She already knows the answer, but hey, a little harmless flirting never hurt anyone.

He only had one eye, but that never stopped him from noticing pretty girls. "Hey there, welcome to Fandom."

"Hey," Kara replied, giving him an easy smile.

The missing eye intrigued her, but that wasn't what their first conversation was going to be about.

At least, she wasn't going to bring up the topic.

"You're new here too?"

"Actually no, I've been going here for almost two years now. I'm Billy." He held out his hand.

"Kara," Kara said, holding out her hand. "Kara Kent. It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise Kara." He shook her hand. "How's it look so far?"

"First impression? Weirder than I thought it would be. But beyond that? I think I might actually have fun this semester." Kara took a sip of her cherry cola. "What about you? Do you like it here, or are you just staying here because you have to?"

"Oh I love it here." he grinned. "When I first arrived, I didn't think I could handle it. In fact I almost left. But when I did I turned into a bearded dragon for a week, and that kind of took the wind out of my sails. So yeah, weird is a good word for this place. But you get used to it."

"Yeah, I think it was this amulet I found under my bed. But it was gone by the time I changed back. It was a little strange."

"I'm sure it was." Kara studied him for a moment. "Though you seem to have coped with that well."

"Well it was over a year ago now. I've had time to get over it. But that's the sort of things that happen here. Or say, monster invastions that last about a weekend, fun time things that turn us into little kids, stuff like that."

How on Earth...or on Krypton...did Clark think this place was normal?!

"Guess you don't need just meteor rocks for crazy, happy fun." She said idly. She looked Billy over before asking, "So what's your story?"
