Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather was thankfully behaving, so it was fairly warm outside as everything was set up for the picnic. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP, HAVE AT IT. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

"You have got to be kidding. Illegal? Where are you from, the North Pole?" Dōjima made a face and reached over to pat her on the arm gently. "It's okay, I have lots of both in my luggage. We'll be fine."

[ooc: at internet-less work, will probably pick up tomorrow.]

Oh, great, she was rooming with an underage drinker? Given that she was technically still an on-duty police officer, Jen took a moment to ponder the spectacular awkwardness that this could turn out to be.

"Thanks, but I don't actually drink," she said.

She'd survived living in the open loft of an abandoned clock tower with four other people for a year. This should be easy, right?

[OOC: No problem. :)]

"You don't? That's too bad, I brought some good sake with me, since I don't like American beer. They don't even have vending machines here! I handwavily looked through the whole town, and there's not a machine with a decent beer in sight! Is it true that Americans have funny rules about drinking?" Dōjima babbled aimlessly as she grabbed more cookies. "Not that I'm assuming you're an American, my assigned big sister isn't either. American, I mean. For an American school, there's a bunch of us who don't seem to be from around here."
