Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather was thankfully behaving, so it was fairly warm outside as everything was set up for the picnic. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP, HAVE AT IT. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

Reno continued to smirk as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Somehow I doubt that this is the sorta fine institution that hands out the death sentence for skippin' out," he mused. "But I'm sure I'll get my fair share of detentions, yo. I'll find out eventually."

"Yeah, no death sentences here," he shook his head. "So you're one of those rebel types?"
raspberryturk: (Hmm.)

"There's a type? Didn't know I had to fit under a category." Reno was somewhat amused at the thought. "I'm here for work, you could say. Not thrilled to be sent to high school. But when the boss says jump, you jump as high as you can, yo."

Usually.

Johnny shrugged, "Seems every school's got 'em," and he wasn't about to admit to being a handful at his last school. "So... you're how old?"

"Seventeen." Not that he was terribly concerned about age, really. Didn't have to card legally to be capable of doing what needed to be done, after all. "Don't imagine I'm gonna be the most obedient student in the school, if that's what you're getting at. My boss isn't here. I was just told to come here, that doesn't mean I have to get gold stars, or anything."

Cocky son of a bitch, wasn't he? Johnny could only stand there and appreciate it. "What kind of work do you do?"

"I work for the Department of Administrative Research for ShinRa Electric Power," came the reply. It was fancy talk for 'I'm the government's bitch,' really, but he didn't feel terribly inclined to share the job specifics to someone he had just met twenty minutes ago.

[[I have to run for work! Mind if my next ping is about nine hours from now or so? Slowplay is fun, if you're up for it. :) ]]

"An electric company," he nodded, thinking he got it. "What's your position there?" And why would he be coming here?

[sp is great!]

"All the stuff nobody else wants to do? That's my job." He nodded his head dismissively. "Pay's good, anyhow. Buncha' coworkers I'd die for. Shit like that, yoto."
