Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather was thankfully behaving, so it was fairly warm outside as everything was set up for the picnic. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ OCD IS UP, HAVE AT IT. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

It was hard not to notice the woman, and Brooke had to admire whatever secret she had for keeping that dress on and up.

"Tape?" she guessed.

Lulu raised one elegantly arched eyebrow. "Excuse me?" she asked.

"I asked if you used tape," Brooke clarified. "I've had a problem or two in that area in certain dresses, so I'm wondering if there's something that works better."

She was entirely serious.

Actually? That sounded rather reasonable to Lulu, and defused any ire that may have been building. "Ah, yes," she said. "I apologise, but it's a peculiarity of the design of the dress, and I don't believe you'll find one quite like it on this world. In fact, tape -- and other adhesives -- wouldn't be anywhere near sufficient. I used to have... difficulties... myself, so I quite understand."

The 'on this world' bit completely passed over her head, due to sheer newbieness. Which may have been a good thing. "Well, I give massive props to your stylist or designer or whatever."

"Well, thank you," Lulu said, smiling. "My name is Lulu; I'm teaching the cooking class this semester."

Oh, based on fashion alone that would be interesting. "Brooke," she said. "I'll be going here this semester."

"Wonderful, Brooke. I hope you enjoy your time her." Lulu's smile widened a little. "If you're interested, and if I can get the materials from home, I might be able to design a dress for you, as well. If you'd like."

"Seriously?" she said. "That would be fantastic."

Lulu nodded. "Indeed. Feel free to come by my office, and we can discuss it further."

"I will definitely be doing that," Brooke smiled. "I should probably be going to be social, but it was great to meet you." Had to love any meeting she could get something out of.

"Certainly," Lulu replied, inclining her head. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Brooke."
